HH Construction are committed to the training of all our workforce to a high level to meet industry standards. With this commitment, investment has been made to employ our own Accredited Instructor, Alex Craig TechIOSH AIIRSM, and gain a Nationally Recognised Accreditation. A bespoke internal training department has been developed to economically deliver this training to the workforce.
Alex, with half a decade of training experience, has helped develop the bespoke internal training plan to ensure all workers are compliant with their job roles.
NPORS Training Provider accreditation was obtained in 2023 and we are now striving to potentially gain accreditations with CITB, CPCS, City & Guilds, NOCN and Lantra.
Work has now begun on ensuring that HH Construction are providing high level training to all operatives in line with our Tier 1 Contractors requirements, as well as National Standards.
This commitment also ensure that all operatives have qualifications showing their ability to work as safe and efficiently as possible. All operatives will receive mandatory training in areas such as CSCS Cards, Asbestos Awareness, Abrasive Wheels training, Manual Handling and more. There are then bespoke training plans for trade specific areas such as Groundworkers gaining Slinger Signaller and Plant Marshal, and Machine Operatives gaining Lifting Operations.
HH is now pleased to announce work in partnership with AMC to help raise awareness for men’s mental health within construction. Within the partnership, HH will be arranging and running fundraiser events throughout the year to help push and promote that its ok for men to talk. Keep an eye out for upcoming fundraiser days in the near future.
High flying local construction firm land three-year kit partnership.
Castleford Tigers are delighted to confirm that local construction company HH Construction have agreed a 3-year kit partnership with the club! With a long-established client base across commercial, retail, social and private sectors, HH has grown year on year to become one of the most respected and recognised groundwork contractors in Yorkshire.
Based on Methley Road in Castleford, HH Construction deliver their projects to total client satisfaction with a focus on quality and flexibility. The local firm cares greatly for the environment with their own set of procedures which reduces site pollution, recycles, and reduces waste both on site and in their offices.
In addition to being a kit partner, HH Construction will occupy their own branded executive box for the next 3 years whilst displaying their HH branding pitch side at the MAH Jungle. Tigers centre Peter Mata’utia will also be proudly sponsored by the company in their first season as club partners.
H&H Construction join the Fords’ team of outstanding partners, as the club continues its aim to be a strong financial position following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Founder and business partners John Handforth and Simon Williams shared their excitement on the partnership and said: “As a Castleford based company operating nationwide, we are delighted to be forming a long-term partnership with our local club Castleford Tigers”.
The club has great heritage which some of my family members have been involved in, and it also plays a huge part in our local community which is something HH Construction wanted to be a major part of. We discussed various opportunities including partnerships with other local Super League clubs, but we always felt that Castleford Tigers was the right choice for our business and the one that would give us the most satisfaction and reward.
Both John & Simon are incredibly proud of the HH Construction team and their hard work, which has allowed them to strongly partner up with the Tigers.
Our business continues to grow year on year with many new local and national projects in the pipeline. Thanks to the commitment and hard work of all the team at HH, the company sits in a very healthy position which allows us to form these partnerships and financially support the club and the wider community.”
“This is just a start of what we hope will become a very long and successful journey with Castleford Tigers, and one that we are very proud to be taking with HH Construction.
Craig Jeffels Head of Commercial Partnerships spoke about the long-term partnership saying: “I am delighted to welcome H&H Construction to Castleford Tigers for the next three years. As a very successful local business based a stone’s throw away on Methley Road, we are looking forward to building the relationship whilst promoting the HH Construction brand across our networks.”
“Following GMB Union’s late decision not to partner the club in 2021, it is great news that we have managed to tie up a long-term deal with H&H Construction who will replace GMB Union on the collar position. It is always my priority to secure long term agreements with our partners as this provides us some financial security and stability to plan for the future. Considering the ongoing situation that is hitting hard on many businesses up and down the country, there is not a more important time to be securing these relationships with very successful companies like HH Construction.”
“To commit to a substantial three-year partnership during a global pandemic is a credit to both John and Simon, and the success and stature of their company. It is important we continue to engage and affiliate ourselves with local businesses as a community club, and we are extremely proud of our newly found partnership with HH Construction. I look forward to working alongside John, Simon and the team at HH now and in the future.”
