The recent 34-week project to construct a state-of-the-art distribution warehouse showcased an intricate blend of modern techniques and precision engineering. Pivotal to the project was the implementation of GPS control for laying foundations and managing a complex drainage system, which included 2 interceptors each plunging to a depth of 6.5 meters. The internal slab preparation utilized a GPS Dozer, ensuring impeccable accuracy. The facility also boasts a dedicated substation, a robust sprinkler tank base, and comprehensive incoming services. Attention to detail was evident in the meticulous external yard preparation, advanced external lighting systems with associated ducting, and the inclusion of both HB2 and Trief in kerbing and edgings. Furthermore, the landscape was enhanced with tarmac, permeable paving, concrete footpaths, and protective bollards. The project’s scope even extended to the reprofiling of perimeter earthworks and a borrow pit fill, underpinned by rigorous testing and validation to ensure safety and quality.
